Position: Senior Compliance Director, Product Implementation and Assurance

 

Location: Hybrid - 3 days in our Sandy Springs, GA office/2 days remote

Duties & Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Senior Compliance Director, responsible for Product and Assurance, will support the development, launch, and ongoing oversight of new consumer lending, servicing, and platform initiatives. This role partners closely with Product, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to provide compliance advisory support and to design and execute risk‑based compliance testing related to new and evolving product offerings.

 

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in consumer lending and loan servicing compliance, including familiarity with HELOCs or mortgage‑related products, near prime lending, and has hands‑on experience interpreting and applying state and federal consumer protection laws to real‑world product and platform designs.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide compliance advisory support for new product initiatives, platform enhancements, and material product changes across consumer loan and loan brokering offerings.
  • Partner with Product, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams throughout the product development lifecycle to identify and assess applicable regulatory requirements and compliance risks.
  • Review product structures, pricing, fees, disclosures, underwriting logic, and servicing workflows for compliance with Regulation Z (TILA), ECOA, and fair lending requirements.
  • Support implementation and oversight of HELOC, mortgage, or mortgage‑adjacent products, including evaluation of disclosures, APR calculations, and fee treatment.
  • Design risk‑based compliance testing and monitoring focused on newly launched or enhanced products and platform functionality.
  • Support Fair Lending initiatives across new and existing products.
  • Assist with drafting and regular review of compliance policies, procedures, training materials, and control documentation related to product initiatives.
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and internal governance processes related to product compliance and consumer protection requirements.

Required Skills/Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 6–10 years of compliance experience within financial services, fintech, or consumer lending.
  • Strong working knowledge of consumer lending regulations, including Regulation Z/TILA, ECOA, and fair lending principles.
  • Experience advising on or testing consumer loan products, lending platforms, or loan brokering models.
  • Demonstrated experience with compliance testing, monitoring, or issue management.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, business‑focused guidance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with HELOCs, mortgages, or mortgage‑related products.
  • Familiarity with platform‑based lending, point‑of‑sale finance, or marketplace/loan brokering models.
  • Experience supporting new product launches or significant product enhancements.
  • Prior interaction with regulators or experience supporting regulatory exams.

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this role ranges from $130,000 per year to $190,000 per year. Compensation will be determined by several factors, including relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
