We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Compliance Director to drive support and advise on the execution of high-impact compliance initiatives within the GreenSky® Program’s consumer lending and servicing operations. This team member will be part of the Company’s Compliance department.   An interest and understanding of consumer risk compliance management frameworks and regulatory requirements related to consumer lending will be critical for a successful candidate.  The ideal candidate has experience with consumer loan origination, marketing, third-party oversight and is an excellent partner to the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Advise the business on requirements provided by legal team applicable to consumer finance originations, specifically personal loan origination, from initial scoping and planning through to execution and completion, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements\
  • Design, implement, and oversee the rollout of strategic compliance initiatives within the consumer lending function, ensuring alignment with relevant laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Truth in Lending Act/Regulation Z, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and Servicemembers Civil Relief Act
  • Review third-party partner marketing materials and internal marketing
  • Review employee training related to consumer finance regulations
  • Assess compliance with requirements related to third-party relationships
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, including legal, operations, and technology teams, to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and regulatory obligations are met
  • Promote a proactive compliance culture by embedding project management best practices and creating structured channels for ongoing communication, feedback, and improvement

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of compliance experience in financial services, ideally with consumer lending origination experience and marketing oversight
  • Proven track record working cross functionally to support business initiatives
  • Strong analytical abilities, capable of succinctly providing advice and guidance to the business
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and communicate advice and updates effectively

Education:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, law, or a related field
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in business, finance, law, or a related field

 

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this role ranges from $140,000 per year to $150,000 per year. Compensation will be determined by several factors, including relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus within a comprehensive total rewards package, alongside a full suite of medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid personal/sick time.
