Position: Sr Business Development Consultant

 

Overview: The Senior Business Development Consultant (BDC) is responsible for new merchant acquisition, which means your job is to sell the benefits of the GreenSky program to home improvement contractors across the country.

 

Additionally, a Senior ‘BDC’ is responsible for making outbound calls to reinvigorate and win previous businesses who have stopped offering GreenSky.

 

This role is focused on generating new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads, logging customer information, and working to meet sales quotas. Key duties include building a pipeline of prospects, maintaining a database, scheduling and following up on training appointments, and collaborating with the sales team.

 

Ultimately, you will be considered successful if you can enroll high-value merchants that want to grow their business and delight their customers by offering GreenSky payment options.   

 

Location: Hybrid/Remote (Sandy Springs, GA)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to both new and previous customers (“win-back”) to schedule training appointments with Account Managers.
  • Work with the sales department to ensure appointments are kept and the outcome is known.
  • Researching and identifying potential clients based on target demographics and Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs).
  • Contacting prospects through various channels like cold calling, emailing, and social selling
  • Building initial rapport, practicing active listening, and developing relationships with potential clients.
  • Update and maintain customer records and contact information.
  • Staying up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales and appointment-setting goals.
  • Participate in training to maintain product and service knowledge.
  • Conduct call review sessions with your manager to encourage and ensure skill development

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Minimum of 1-year successful sales experience, preferably in a consultative, phone-based sales role
  • Proven track record of sales success with the ability to detail your success
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Conduct cold-calling to prospects via outbound phone calls
  • Solutions-oriented approach
  • Strong closing skills
  • Salesforce, MS Office Suite, and PC technical skills required
  • Experience using dialing/cadence software such as Outreach or SalesLoft preferred
  • Ability to work from home and conduct phone/video calls in a dedicated quiet workspace

 

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this role ranges from a base of $60,000 per year to $70,000 per year with a monthly commission. Compensation will be determined by several factors, including relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus within a comprehensive total rewards package, alongside a full suite of medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid personal/sick time.
