Location:    Atlanta, GA

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify fraud risks as well as opportunities to create strategic or tactical solutions based on data-driven analytics
  • Obtain analytical-oriented insights on fraud risk issues
  • Provide analytical support to assess performance management, risk exposure control, early warning sign detection, profitability enhancements, and business growth initiatives
  • Conduct predictive fraud detection analytics to develop targeted capabilities to detect and deter fraudulent behavior
  • Develop, monitor, and manage KPIs and communicate with the management/leadership team on population/portfolio shifts/changes and necessary strategic adjustments
  • Partner with internal affiliates to enhance business understanding and facilitate inter-departmental communications

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience in conducting data analytics in financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree with advanced degree preferrable in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science etc.
  • Ability to handle / analyze large datasets using SQL, R, Python or another similar programming language. Knowledge with Tableau or similar BI/data visualization tools is a plus
  • Strong problem solving, decision making, and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Skilled communicator with ability to influence others
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and critically
  • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science etc. 
  • Experience within the Credit/Fraud Risk function of a financial services organization 
  • Passionate about using data and analytics to solve problems and eager to learn about financial services, merchant management, and consumer lending
