Position: Senior Analyst - Associate, Capital Markets

 

Location: Atlanta, GA

 

Overview: The GreenSky Capital Markets Team develops and implements the Company’s liquidity strategy, including its loan distribution and sales process. The Capital Markets team works closely with internal and external partners to coordinate asset distribution through credit facilities, the asset-backed securitization (ABS) market, forward flow sales, bulk sales and other channels.

The role’s responsibilities include a variety of transactional-based initiatives, including: (a) supporting corporate and asset-based diligence efforts of institutional investors; (b) developing investor, credit rating agency and related partner materials for use in ABS and other transactions; (c) assisting in the execution of new transactions and the development of alternative capital markets-based funding activities; and (d) interacting with key internal and external stakeholders, with a particular focus on relationship management among GreenSky’s numerous capital markets partners. 

Organizational: This position is a member of the Capital Markets Team and reports to the Vice President of Capital Markets.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support due diligence efforts relating to new and previously-issued ABS, forward flow sales and related transactions.
  • Drafting investor, rating agency and related partner materials for new transactions, conferences, deal roadshows and in response to ad hoc requests.
  • Coordinating internal GreenSky stakeholder efforts in support of due diligence and partner materials.
  • Reviewing and issue-spotting of operative documents in support of all Capital Markets initiatives, including offering materials, purchase and sale agreements and related documentation, with a particular focus on implementing organizational and reporting requirements.
  • Interpret complex legal agreement requirements into measurable proactive, portfolio analysis and operational risk mitigation standards.  
  • Effectively represent GreenSky in communicating with investors, asset purchasers and financing counterparties, among others.
  • In support of that external dialogue, develop a deep understanding of GreenSky corporate developments, processes and performance; effectively apply that knowledge to ensure streamlined and consistent messaging among third parties.
  • Communicate effectively with executives and senior management, including GreenSky colleagues in Credit Risk, Accounting, Controllers, Risk Management, Legal & Compliance, Treasury and Product Management, among others.
  • Develop superior market intelligence on developments in structured finance, securitization and loan sale market trends; report to internal stakeholders on potential impact to GreenSky organization generally and its Capital Markets efforts specifically.
  • Create and maintain executive-level and detailed reporting metrics on a recurring and ad hoc basis in support of GreenSky Capital Markets initiatives.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience in specialty finance, consumer- and/or residential mortgage lending.
  • Demonstrated experience in transaction execution, relationship management and portfolio analyses.
  • Superior Microsoft Office and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and cross-functionally work within a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
  • Clear and concise communication skills (both written and oral) with exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of capital markets experience in specialty finance lending, structured finance, consumer ABS or residential mortgage securitization.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing legal documentation requirements into ongoing reporting metrics (internal or external), operational plans and/or internal processes.
  • Successful, prior engagements with ABS issuers, credit rating agencies and/or institutional fixed income investors.
