Position:    VP of Vendor Operations

 

Location:    Atlanta, GA

 

Organizational: This position is a member of the Business Transformation and Analytics Team within Operations and rolls up to the Chief Operating Officer.

 

Overview: The Vice President of Vendor Operations oversees all aspects of the strategy, processes and KPIs that support GreenSky’s Vendor functions for all areas in Operations (within US and near-shore). The person filling this role will have the versatility to roll up their sleeves to ensure that the job is done correctly and the leadership skills to build and manage a team of highly motivated people. The Vice President of Vendor Operations Support must be versatile to internalize our Operations strategy, key metrics and KPIs and the customer experience standards, to influence the right vendor to drive a similar world class experience for our consumers (customers and merchants).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete understanding of all aspects of Operations – Servicing, Collections or other areas that employ outsourcing or nearshoring, across the following domains:
    • Customer Experience: Requires a detailed understanding of our customer journey, complex consumer relationship with GSKY, NPS and verbatims.
    • Operational Strategy: Next step is to really understand corporate and operations strategy and then internalizing how this applies to the operational areas. This could range across the key themes namely – Digitize Experience, Reduce Costs and Risk Reduction
    • Vendor Strategy and Execution: Mastery of the above two steps will result in the right leadership in driving our vendor relationships across the lifecycle from RFI/ RFP, choosing the right strategic partner, driving the right KPI/ SLAs, setting up the infrastructure and then managing the relationship on an ongoing basis
  • The role is very multi-dimensional, requiring analytical, process and operational knowledge, with the leader helping drive the right decision-making framework with multiple stakeholders in Operations/ Corporate/ Vendor teams
  • The leader should also be comfortable working in a matrixed environment, with stakeholders across the vertical Operations domains to Legal, IT, Audit etc.
  • The leader should be willing to roll up their sleeves to understand the nuances of the Operational areas being outsourced like call drivers, capacity plans etc., so they can correctly negotiate and drive the right long-term partnership for Greensky
  • In addition, the leader should have all the soft skills needed to influence and drive decisions in a typical Matrixed world – Influence, Communications, Negotiations and Structured Thinking
  • The leader should be comfortable working in ambiguity, ability to multi-task and drive multiple initiatives with absolute focus on results
  • The Leader will also work closely with IT/ Audit and Legal to ensure that security, data integrity, development, documentation and other standards are maintained.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within an Operational department or Horizontal Transformation function (Vendor Management, Analytics)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, document and improve business processes.
  • Meticulous skills and attention to detail with a verifiably excellent performance track record. Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities.
  • Highly proficient technical skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Project).
  • Experience working in a highly demanding and fast-paced environment. Must be able to work autonomously and be able to handle time sensitive changes and deadlines with composure and confidence. Flexible/resourceful to adapt to ever changing needs and deadlines.
  • Experience working with highly confidential information. The highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion required.
  • Must be a resourceful and independent thinker, demonstrating good judgment and decision making capabilities. Ability to anticipate and address issues and needs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong coordination skills. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to influence peers and minimize gridlocks.
  • The role requires ‘in-office’ presence at least 1-2 days a week

 

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Masters degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of financial services, banking or IT.
  • Experience in supporting the operational needs of a call center.
  • Vendor management expertise in Servicing or other Operational groups
