Summary:

The Third-Party Risk and Business Continuity is responsible for overseeing and managing the risks associated with counterparties, third parties, and merchants. This role also includes developing and implementing business continuity plans to ensure the organization can continue operations during and after a disruption. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to develop and maintain effective business continuity strategies.

Responsibilities:

Risk Management:

• Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with counterparties, third parties, and merchants.
• Develop and implement counterparty, third party, and merchant risk management policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Collaborate with various departments to mitigate identified risks.
• Monitor and report on risk exposure and mitigation activities to senior management.

Business Continuity:

• Develop, implement, and maintain business continuity plans.
• Conduct business impact analyses to identify critical business functions and processes.
• Coordinate and conduct regular business continuity training and drills.
• Ensure that business continuity plans are up-to-date and effective.
• Lead the response to actual business disruptions, coordinating recovery efforts and communication.
• Maintain the emergency alert system.
• Facilitate operations table tops to ensure business continuity.
• Work with Vendor Security Risk team to support critical vendors business continuity, testing and glass break testing and plans.

Vendor, Counterparty, and Merchant Management:

• Evaluate and monitor the risk profiles of vendors and merchants.
• Support the VRO in maintaining strong relationships with key vendors and merchants.
• Ensure that vendors and merchants comply with the organization’s risk management policies.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare detailed reports on risk management and business continuity activities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of risk assessments, business continuity plans, and related activities.
• Develop Key Risk Indicators in the areas of BCP and third-party risk management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in risk management, business continuity, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing counterparty, third party, and merchant risks.
• Experience in developing and implementing business continuity plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in GRC tools.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or similar are preferred.
