Overview

Position: Director, Product Management, Salesforce Platform & Capabilities

The Product Manager for Salesforce Platform & Capabilities will be responsible for defining and executing a product development roadmap to support key operations across sales, servicing, and finance for the GreenSky program. As one of the nation's leading home improvement financing providers, GreenSky delivers a top-tier experience to thousands of merchants, and Salesforce plays a pivotal role in driving a wide array of business processes, from customer service to sales and risk management.

In this role, the Lead Product Manager will focus on the Salesforce platform, building strong partnerships with stakeholders across multiple business units. Given Salesforce’s critical role as both an enabler and dependency in various initiatives, coordinated execution and stakeholder alignment are essential. The Product Manager must understand the business objectives and scope opportunities to leverage Salesforce capabilities to meet these goals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, platform expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Collaborating with a dedicated Salesforce development team, the Product Manager will handle intake, scoping, and prioritization of a wide range of demands, from major initiatives to smaller enhancements. Also, the role requires ownership of strategic and tactical documentation and influencing solution design in close collaboration with development partners.

Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and drive the Salesforce product roadmap to align with business and company objectives, merchant or partner needs, and market trends. Prioritize features and improvements based on impact, and business value. Monitor trends in platform capabilities and sponsor new functionality to increase value and expand use of the Salesforce implementation. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, sales, operations, finance, and risk —to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure seamless integration or workflows.
  • Requirements Gathering & User Stories: Translate complex business needs into clear requirements and user stories, ensuring a deep understanding of business goals, regulatory requirements, and operational processes.
  • Platform Optimization & Scalability: Continuously assess and optimize the Salesforce platform for efficiency, and improved user experience.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Ensure Salesforce data is structured and available within the enterprise data lake. Support and/or author reports to track platform activity and measure the success of product features and improvements. Present findings and recommendations to product leadership and business sponsors.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with Salesforce and third-party vendors as needed to manage licenses, support, and platform enhancements. Evaluate and integrate third-party applications to extend Salesforce functionality.
  • Evangelize & Mentorship: Educate peer product managers and business stakeholders on the extent of capabilities in Salesforce. Partner with development resources to foster an environment of learning and collaboration. Act as a subject matter expert in Salesforce best practices.

Required Skills/Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years focused on Salesforce, ideally in a financial services, fintech, or lending environment.
  • Salesforce Expertise: Salesforce Administrator and/or Product Owner certification preferred. Proven experience with Salesforce Lightning, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and integrations with third-party platforms.
