Position: Vice President, Compliance Advisory

Location: U.S.-Based (remote)

 

Job Overview:      

We are seeking a results-oriented Vice President of Compliance to drive the execution of high-impact compliance initiatives within the GreenSky® Program’s consumer lending operations. This senior leader will be part of the Company’s Compliance department and report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.  The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing complex, cross-functional compliance projects that align with our strategic goals. A deep understanding of consumer risk compliance management frameworks and legislative and regulatory requirements related to consumer lending, along with advanced project management expertise to lead teams and ensure successful project outcomes, is essential to this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

Compliance Project Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end management of consumer finance regulatory compliance projects, from initial scoping and planning through to execution and completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with Compliance professionals in the Department to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocations, and risk assessments, to guide and monitor project progress.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as the primary point of contact to facilitate communication, resolve roadblocks, and manage dependencies across departments.

Strategic Compliance Initiative Execution:

  • Design, implement, and oversee the rollout of strategic compliance initiatives within the consumer lending function, ensuring alignment with relevant laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Truth in Lending Act/Regulation Z, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and Servicemember Civil Relief Act.
  • Establish project-specific goals and objectives, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and adjust project plans as needed to address evolving compliance priorities or regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, including legal, operations, and technology teams, to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and regulatory obligations are met.

Team Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Provide project leadership and direction to cross-functional team members, fostering a collaborative and accountable environment that promotes regulatory compliance excellence.
  • Mentor compliance professionals and project team members, developing project management and regulatory expertise within the team to ensure sustainable compliance success.
  • Promote a proactive compliance culture by embedding project management best practices and creating structured channels for ongoing communication, feedback, and improvement.

Required Skills/Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of compliance experience in financial services, ideally with consumer lending expertise.
  • Proven track record managing compliance projects related to consumer financial protection regulations.
  • Advanced project management skills, with expertise in developing detailed plans, managing cross-functional teams, and executing large-scale projects within regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical abilities, capable of conducting compliance risk assessments, identifying trends, and creating risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and communicate project updates effectively.

Education:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, law, or a related field
  • Preferred:
    • Advanced degree in business, finance, law, or a related field
    • Project management certification
    • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
