The Director, Product Management of Capital Markets & Finance will execute a roadmap of Product Development initiatives that support the funding of loans through the GreenSky program. As one of the largest Home Improvement originators in the country, GreenSky operates a sophisticated platform to manage a high volume of funding activities including warehouse facilities, forward flows arrangements, securitizations, and direct bank origination.

 

As the Lead Product Manager focused on the Capital Markets and Finance organizations, this role must cultivate and maintain a strong partnership with Executive and Senior staff within the business. The Product Manager is expected to understand business goals and concepts to scope and deliver technical solutions with measurable results.

 

A successful candidate will show flexibility to drive a broad range of product development initiatives spanning automation of business processes, vendor integration, deployment of BI/reporting/analytics capabilities, and custom software design - all focused on optimizing the platform for both efficiency and scale. From a delivery perspective, this role will partner with a Product Owner to define intent, document requirements, and prioritize their delivery through dedicated development teams within BI and IT.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for management and maintenance of the product Roadmap for Capital Markets and Finance.
  • Responsible for all product management activities for Finance/Capital Markets and functional support groups.
  • Partner with the Business Unit Leader or executive sponsor to create complete needs analysis that combine business, market, and customer needs.
  • Create, design and develop business process and workflow and feature/functionality/user experience that achieves business objectives while balancing future use/scale capability to technical/operational effort.
  • Develop appropriately fitted product/initiative business cases that ensure that the organization is working on the highest value work to deliver on financial targets.
  • Identify and manage cross-portfolio & cross-project dependencies in conjunction with Project Management.
  • Work closely with IT and Finance leadership to ensure that the Finance infrastructure is scaling to support common and/or high value needs in the Finance and Capital Markets organizations.
  • Responsible for documenting current and target state processes, critical to the rollout of a product.

Required Skills/Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Must possess a unique blend of business, product management, project management, and technical savvy specifically in with financial management and data.  
  • Home Improvement, Healthcare, or consumer financing experience preferred
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills required, along with outstanding problem solving, written and verbal communication skills, ability to analyze complex financial information, strong analytical skills, and the ability to use various product development and management software packages (Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience Agile, with defining detailed requirements for IT and BI development teams.
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, business or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
