Job Duties: Associate with Greensky Management Company LLC in Atlanta, Georgia. Remote work permitted three (3) days per week within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA. Conduct quantitative and statistical analysis to identify credit risks as well as opportunities related to new merchant applications. Create strategic or tactical solutions based on data-driven analytics that optimize risk strategies applied to the new merchant population to strategically enhance the merchant qualification policy. Perform root cause analysis of changing trends to identify performance drivers impacting new merchant approval rate. Develop, monitor, and manage KPIs related to new merchant applications (overall and by segmentations) through the creation and enhancement of Tableau dashboards and communicate with the management and leadership team on population, portfolio shifts, changes, and necessary strategic adjustments to address potentially risk trends. Implement strategy changes in the decisioning system by following the formal change control process, coding the changes, partnering with IT teams to test and deploy, and conducing post-production monitoring. Partner with internal affiliates to enhance business understanding and facilitate inter-departmental communications, particularly working with operations counterparts to ensure policy intent is executed as intended. Provide analytical support to asset performance management, risk exposure control, early warning sign detection, profitability enhancements, and business growth initiatives.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, a related Engineering degree such as Computer Engineering, or related quantitative field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience with the following: Data analytics skills, quantitative and statistical techniques to identify trends and propose enhancements related to risk strategies. Independently conduct quantitative analysis and analyze large volumes of data (e.g., daily application or transactional data) to identify emerging performance trends. Formulate and define business solutions using insights obtained through data analysis. Handle structured and unstructured datasets using SQL, R, Python, or another similar programming language. Using Tableau or similar BI/data visualization tools. Credit industry experience, specifically experience with a credit function within a financial services organization. Communicating complex financial concepts to senior leadership through written, verbal, and presentation skills. Using advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel, including creation of pivot tables, logic functions, data tables and regression analysis, and using PowerPoint and Word to create summary presentations and documentation.
