This position will provide technical, operations, and control design support on strategic and operational improvement projects in the GreenSky finance organization. The role will provide support on strategic business transactions, new contracts and technology and automation initiatives within the Chief Accounting Officer organization. The position requires wide-breadth and in-depth expertise in US GAAP as well as extensive experience in financial reporting and WorkDay Finance suite operations. The role reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and includes interacting, collaborating, and coordinating with colleagues and executives in the Finance organization. The role will provide project management support and liaison with other areas to facilitate resources needed to accelerate progress.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide leadership support on end-to-end implementation of new business transactions, products and services, accounting policies and operational best practices with the finance organization.
• Perform ad hoc analysis/research projects as they arise
• Partner with business leaders to ensure new products and initiatives are accounted and reported properly
• Support accounting information needs for external auditors other third parties.
• Assist with the coordination of communication with external stakeholders, if requested
• Implement process improvements aimed at improving controls or achieving efficiencies

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Ability to quickly grasp and solve complex problems; deal with and manage change in a fluid environment.
• Ability to process technical accounting concepts and operationalize into GreenSky systems, processes, and controls
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage a variety of audiences, internally and externally
• Ability to build and leverage strong relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders
• Prioritize multiple competing projects and initiatives and focus resources in line with such priorities
• Effective interpersonal skills necessary to effectively manage and influence behaviors both within the Finance team and across the organization.


Formal Education:

• Undergraduate degree or graduate degree with focus in accounting strongly preferred


• CPA strongly preferred


Working Conditions

• Role to be combination of remote work and in Glenridge Atlanta office, as needed
• Role based in Atlanta, with potential U.S. travel up to 5% annually for training or meetings
