We are seeking an experienced Mobile Systems Manager who can assist with designing and developing systems for the financial industry. The candidate will have expertise in designing and creating Mobile (Native Android and IOS) enterprise applications using a combination of XCode, Swift, Objective C, Java, Kotlin and Android Studio.   The candidate will be responsible for managing the development across both platforms and will collaborate with peers to integrate with internal proprietary services to expand our Mobile systems offering.  The candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, must be detail oriented, extensive focus on high quality functioning code with minimal quality issues.  The candidate must be open to native as well as hybrid software development tools and must be able to operate in an Agile environment and oversee the full life cycle development for the services, working with development, DevOps, BA, PM and QA teams following the Agile/SCRUM methodology.  The candidate will have excellent Management skills with a particular focus on fostering an excellent team environment where people excel.  

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitating requirements gathering sessions and be able to translate business needs into proper solutions.
  • Participate with architecture team in technical evaluations, solution, and design approaches discussions
  • Design, build, test and deploy highly scalable, high-volume Mobile (Android and IOS) applications and Web Services when applicable
  • Perform code reviews and mentor other team members on the proper approaches and rationale
  • Able to work both in a team environment and as an individual contributor when applicable
  • Responsible for actively supporting complex projects or programs from the Software development standpoint to drive the development of multiple GreenSky applications.
  • Provides objective advice, expertise, and specialist support skills with the aim of creating value and maximizing growth or improving the business performance of their clients.
  • Ensures that development activities are on a path to deliver benefits realization
  • Mentor team member and lead the team, by example, to continue to foster and maintain the healthy and productive work environment we currently have in place.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience delivering Mobile solutions
  • Experience in all phases of software development using agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and applying them to improve our products


Technical Requirements:

  • Excellent skills in either IOS or Android platforms however experience with both platforms as part of the professional background
  • Delivery of many software solutions to both the App Store and Play Store
  • Experience with several of the following: Kotlin, Swift, Objective C, Java, Xcode and AndroidStudio
  • Excellent Technical / Management skills
  • A commitment to succeed and deliver with quality.  These are financial systems; they cannot fail.
  • Strong commitment to unit testing a continuous integration
  • Maintenance of test code coverage statistics above 85%
  • Strong knowledge of relational DB’s
  • Excellent source control skills


Nice to have:

  • Experience in banking and financial services
  • Container and cloud platforms such as AWS ECS, API GW, Lambda, SQS, Route 53 etc
  • Spring Framework / Spring Boot and related microservice technologies
  • REST Services
