Position: Senior Operations & Controls Manager

Reports to: Operations PMO

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duties & Responsibilities

 Senior Operations & Controls Manager


Responsible for actively managing and/or leading GreenSky Operations, inclusive of operational and enterprise controls, technology enhancements, monitoring critical process impacts/outages, metrics reporting, and simple to complex cross functional critical projects or programs. These responsibilities will include the planning, management, requirements gathering, designing process flows, implementation, tracking metrics, provide senior leadership level summaries, understanding of the operational processes, systems and strategic engagement on solution proposals.



Duties & Responsibilities

Controls management across 1st Line of Defense Controls with Operations, 2nd line of Defense with MCP and Enterprise-wide Audit Controls. This role will drive the definition and management of the framework/ setup the right controls in our system of record.  In addition, help develop critical controls management and governance structure across GreenSky and manage execution to ensure GreenSky is well managed in our processes across the board; weekly and monthly dashboards for leadership, ensuring  visibility to our controls environment (including benchmarks and risk levels). In addition, will be deeply engaged in daily understanding of the different LOD 1 and 2 metric status and driving remediation in case of gaps or issues with ops leaders.  And for Enterprise Audit Controls, will work closely with Ops leaders to remediate any findings within timeframes (found during the quarterly/ yearly reviews)  (est.40%)


(Critical projects are aimed at accomplishing broad, long-term strategic objectives such as enhancing revenue, improving quality and/or efficiency, improving the processes, affecting cost savings, advancing technological development, impacting talent management, advancing teammate capabilities, implementing new product initiatives, or other strategic priorities. Role will not only assist in creating critical project and program management deliverables (e.g. Project Charter, Project Plans, Critical Issues Log, Analysis, etc.), but will also be expected to support the team in achieving priorities, goals and strategies with key stakeholders. Role will apply various technical disciplines such as process improvement, data analysis, and facilitation. Provides objective advice, expertise and specialist support skills with the aim of creating value and maximizing growth or improving the business performance of their clients.)

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experienc
  • 5 - 10 years of progressive related experience in combination of consulting, IT management, project management and process improvement related role
  • 3 - 5 years Identify and understand operational compliance, internal audit needs and developing of internal controls governance.
  • Strong skills and experience in data analyses, issue resolution, operations support, influencing team members and other stakeholders, conduct difficult negotiations and managing to stringent timelines for project deliverables
  • Demonstrated superior understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies
  • Demonstrated leadership in the implementation of complex Programs and Projects
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM
  • Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous assignments
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • SASS Experience
  • PMP, ACP, CSM and/or PgMP
  • Financial Services experience
  • Go to Market/Product Commercialization experience
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, facilitation and project management methodologies
  • Experience implementing large/complex initiatives across a matrix organization
  • Superior working knowledge of business matters, finance, planning, and forecasting
  • In-depth knowledge of management and planning systems theory and practical application to complex initiatives
  • Experience with financial measurements and metrics.
