Overview

GreenSky, a leader in point of sale financing, seeks a Regulatory Compliance Professional to support the consumer financing compliance function.  The selected individual will possess experience leading documentation and implementation of consumer financing policies and procedures and auditing/reviewing implementation to ensure intent is being executed.  Strong research, analytical and writing skills are key to exceling in this role.  

 

Location:  Glenridge Office Complex, Atlanta, Georgia

 

Travel:  Less than 10% - Local candidates only

 

Organizational:  This position reports to the Chief Compliance Officer.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Regulatory Compliance Director will, among other responsibilities:

 

  • Organize, direct and provide support in specified regulatory compliance areas under the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer;
  • Proactively review the regulatory landscape in the financial services sector and keep the business unit leadership informed as to compliance issues;
  • Formulate policies, procedures, guidelines, and processes that are part of the written Compliance Management System (“CMS”);
  • Work with various business units to implement elements of the CMS;
  • Work with financial institutions conducting vendor management oversight over GreenSky; and
  • Handle long-term and/or complex compliance projects with significant business impact.

Required Skills/Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications and experiences:

  • 5 plus years of experience working in financial services regulatory compliance positions for banks or other financial services companies or similar experience working in a law firm or other legal position
  • Significant experience with ensuring operational compliance with the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Servicemembers’ Civil Relief Act, and other consumer financial laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing & orally
  • Superior analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate and deal effectively with internal management and other personnel
  • Ability to write policies, procedures and reports
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Comfort with ambiguity, change and multi-tasking
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent academic credentials (Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor or equivalent advanced degree preferred)
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager certification preferred
