    GreenSky is a fast paced, innovative and growing disruptor in the Financial Technology space. You will be part of a team that leverages analytics to mitigate fraud losses from Consumers and Merchants, as well as support call center operations, AML regulations, and Compliance. We are looking for candidates who have strong quantitative skills, intellectual curiosity, tactical skills, and strategic level of thought. While the role focuses on fraud, supporting business growth while mitigating risk is ultimately the end goal. This means taking on a variety of challenges as needs may arise. We are a data driven company so there will be no shortage of interesting questions to answer!

    Organizational: This position is a member of the Risk Management team

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Autonomously identify business risks and opportunities and create strategic or tactical recommendations using data-driven analysis
    • Develop analytics to assess ongoing threats related to fraud risk
    • Recommend, design, and execute on long term fraud prevention strategy
    • Lead junior analysts in projects and general fraud knowledge and understanding
    • Partner with stakeholders to articulate value of analysis and recommendations
    • Provide quantitative and qualitative analytical support for asset performance, suspicious activity, risk exposure, and growth initiatives
    • Collaborate with management in Credit, Sales, Technology, Operations, Product, Finance, Compliance, and Executives/Board to optimize risk/return of corporate initiatives
    • Work with cross-functional teams to achieve desired corporate/departmental/team goals, building consensus, agreement, and a common vision for the future
    • Provide valuable insights using data-driven analytics to help identify and resolve issues relating to risk and profitability to both internal leadership and external partners
    • Provide analysis and white-space problem solving to address underlying risks to the business as well as coordinate with various teams to drive towards execution

    Required Skills/Qualifications

    • Bachelors in STEM field
    • 7+ years of experience an analytics role
    • 2+ years in fraud analytics, strategy, or operations role
    • Strong SQL skills
    • Strong R or Python skills
    • Proficient in MS Office products, particularly Excel
    • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced environment
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
    • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and critically
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Persistent, confident, and inquisitive personality
    • Skilled communicator with ability to influence others


    Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
    • Masters in STEM related field
    • Experience with AWS analytics tools
    • Firsthand experience in executing fraud analytics platform deployment
    • Decision sciences background including governance and oversight
    • In depth knowledge and previous experience with credit risk, fraud risk, or merchant risk
    • Ability to understand risk implications of financial products
