    Position: Merchant Risk Analyst

     

    Location: Atlanta, Georgia

    Travel: Minimal, if any required

    Organizational: This position is a member of the Merchant Risk team and will report to the Sr. Manager, Merchant Risk.

    Shifts: Shifts vary, and cover hours from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, Monday - Friday. Shifts are primarily 9 hours with a 1 hour unpaid lunch. Analysts may on occasion be required to work on a weekend

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Understand and monitor the merchants with in the Greensky network
    • Perform risk analysis to determine the severity of trends and potential losses
    • Make risk mitigation recommendations based on the analysis performed
    • Support the portfolio’s growth through close interaction with the Sales, Credit Strategy, Customer Operations, and Loss Mitigation/Workout teams
    • Maintain acceptable turnaround times for merchant investigations
    • Provide excellent customer service within established service level agreements
    • Adhere to established bank policies, company guidelines, and all regulatory requirements
    • Deliver adverse action calls to risky merchants
    • Take on special projects as assigned

     

     

    Required Skills/Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution
    • Self-starter, works with some direction
    • Strong analytical acumen
    • Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills
    • Sound judgment
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate across various lines of business
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
    • Ability to work independently on routine, repetitive tasks and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Strong Internet research skills
    • Successful completion of background check

     

     

    Desired but not required:

    • Knowledge of GreenSky’s products
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
    • Leadership experience operating at a strategic level as part of a cross functional team
    • Experience operating as part of a cross functional team
    • Use of advanced technical & analytical competencies in driving effective strategic goals
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Familiarity with consumer and commercial lending products and practices
    • Educational and/or professional background in credit or underwriting
