    Reporting to the VP level in the sales organization, the Professional Services Sales Engineer is the primary contact and ultimate point of accountability with GreenSky’s clients and their respective accounts, being responsible for integrating many technology solutions to meet customers’ business goals and objectives. The Professional Services Sales Engineering team works closely with clients to develop technical strategies and assist each customer in attaining the goals and initiatives of their respective business using GreenSky solutions.

     

    You will be expected to build and maintain business relationships at all necessary levels within the client's organization. It is imperative for your success to be able communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical resources, understand the nature of the client’s business and ensure the appropriate integration with GreenSky technologies. You will work with a cross-functional team on a daily basis which may include account executives, technical professionals within GreenSky, as well as appropriate people from the customer side.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Support the sales organization in their understanding of and qualification for GreenSky technology integration (as a product)
    • Engage directly with a pipeline of opportunities (new and existing) with GreenSky Sponsors and Merchants to close technology opportunities
    • Project manage Professional Services resources to drive solutions through the pipeline in a timely manner
    • Assist with product design to use GreenSky technology in the marketplace
    • Consult, design, document, and recommend service and product solutions to customers
    • Develop and deliver product demonstrations
    • Partner with Sales teams to strategize how to sell into prospects and customers
    • Partner with Technology and Business teams to provide feedback on the use of GreenSky solutions, feature gaps, and opportunities for product enhancements
    • Explore customer requirements and map GreenSky technical solutions to the requirements
    • Broker the technical hand-off between pre-sale and implementation phases
    • Gather high level business requirements during the pre-sales phase for handoff to implementation teams
    • Assist in the response to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
    • Must have Travel flexibility

     

    Required Skills/Qualifications

    • An advanced degree is highly desirable
    • 10+ years increasing professional experience, with general coding experience in Java, HTML, or JavaScript
    • Experience with API integration
    • 8+ years in a technical role
    • 5+ years within a technology sales type of environment (not role, this is not a sales position).
    • Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills
    • Experience positioning and selling technical solutions
